Fumigate the bedbug on a truck

I am faced with a bed bug infestation in an apartment environment that is very severe. An example of the intensity is the fact that although not needing an inspection because they were clustered in the corners of the ceiling, a bedbug was also found in a matchbook. This brings one obstacle to mind. Clutter. I almost think the best way to treat an apartment or dorm room setting is to put on a full body tyvek suit, move everything out into a tractor trailer, fumigate the truck, while in the mean time treating the empty apartment unit. This would kill anything in the clutter and furniture, and also a thorough treatment in the unit will kill the ones inside. Next, put on you mattress and box spring covers, and place it all back. Follow up in ten days with another treatment. Good luck.

Fumigation may work, but in this account, I wonder if heating the apartment wold work better. Maybe using an industrial strength heater and get the temperature above 120 degrees for about 3 to 4 days and that might knock them out.

At least that's what they tell me!

I second the heating comment. Although you wouldn't need 3-4 days. A typical apartment treatment using heat can be done in 6-8 hours, from set-up to tear down. Excess clutter, the level of infestation, and the type of structure may cause the treatment to take longer, but if you hire a trained professional, they should be able to knock it out in a day.
